The Endocrine System

The body’s ability to convert calories into energy that fuels cells and organs is one of several vital bodily processes that are regulated by the endocrine system, which is a network of glands responsible for producing and secreting hormones.

Your heart rate, the development of your bones and tissues, and even your capacity to become pregnant are all influenced by the endocrine system.

Each endocrine gland releases a separate hormone into your blood.

These hormones assist regulate or coordinate a variety of bodily activities as they move through your blood to other cells.
