What are Aneurysms?

Aneurysms are abnormal dilation of blood vessels that are permanent and are caused by weakening or injury to the blood vessels and can be congenital or acquired. 

Examples of aneurysms include: 

  • Berry aneurysms 
  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm
  • Thoracic aortic aneurysm
