Bleeding disorders are condition with uncontrolled bleeding characterized with defect in the blood clotting process.

Examples of bleeding disorders include: 

  • Acute immune thrombocytopenic purpura
  • Chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura
  • Drug-induced thrombocytopenia
  • HIV-associated thrombocytopenia
  • Thrombocytopenic purpura
  • Uremic syndrome
  • Bernard-Soulier syndrome 
  • Glanzmann thrombasthenia
  • Clotting factor abnormalities
