Cervix pathology is the study and diagnosis of disease of a cylinder-shaped neck of tissue that connects the vagina and uterus called cervix.

Examples of cervix pathology include:

  • Inflammations of the cervix
  • Endocervical polyps
  • Premalignant neoplasms of the cervix
  • Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia
  • Malignant neoplasms of the cervix
  • Cervical carcinoma
